Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026 ยท Effective date: May 23, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the HistoVision application
("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when used by
its operators. The App is a personal content-management tool used
exclusively by its owner to manage the HistoVision YouTube
channel (@factypro.ua).
Important: This is a single-operator application.
The App is not offered as a service to third parties and does not
collect data from external users.
2. Information We Access
When operating the App, we use the following Google APIs:
-
YouTube Data API v3 โ to upload videos to our own
YouTube channel, manage video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags,
thumbnails, categories), post comments on our own videos, and read
public statistics about our own videos.
-
YouTube Analytics API โ to read analytics for our
own channel (view counts, subscriber counts, watch time, engagement
metrics).
We do NOT:
- Access any other YouTube channel besides our own
- Collect data from any users besides the App operator (the channel owner)
- Share any data with third parties
- Sell or transfer any data
- Use the data for advertising purposes
- Process data for any purpose unrelated to managing our own channel
3. Data Storage
All data accessed via the Google APIs is stored locally on the App operator's own infrastructure:
- OAuth refresh tokens โ stored in environment variables on the operator's own server
- Published video metadata โ stored in a local JSON file on the operator's own server
- Channel analytics โ read on-demand from Google APIs; cached locally for 5 minutes to reduce API load
No data is transmitted to any third-party server.
4. Data Retention
- OAuth tokens are retained until manually revoked by the operator
- Local metadata logs are retained indefinitely or until manually deleted by the operator
- Cached analytics data is automatically purged after 5 minutes
5. Your Rights
As the App operator, you can:
-
Revoke access at any time through your Google Account
settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Delete all locally stored data by removing the App's data directory
- Request information about what data the App has by reviewing the local logs
Since this App does not collect data from third parties, GDPR/CCPA
"data subject" requests do not apply to external users.
6. Security
The App operates on a private server. Access to the App and its data
is restricted to the operator. OAuth credentials are stored as
environment variables and are never transmitted in plaintext to third parties.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated"
date at the top of this document reflects the most recent change.
